The loud crashing of lightning hitting a tree, set off car alarms and woke up the neighborhood at 720 Laguna St at 11:20 PM Sunday night. Thankfully the SB Fire dept put it out before it damaged cars or apartments.

That wasn’t just the neighbors rolling out their trash cans to the curb! Proper lightning, thunder and rain in the San Marcos/Cathedral Oaks area. About 11:45 pm.
Sad for the tree happy it was not a person.
At 11:21 p. m. I witnessed a massive flash of lightning and counted, waiting for the thunder. Buh-buh-buh-BOOM BOOM BOOMEDY-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM. The house shook. Yikes. And my count calculated that the lightning was less than a mile away. Hah. It was this strike. Whoo-ee. Sad we lost a tree.
