Drove past the Starbucks, etc. today at Turnpike and Calle Real. Work now underway on the structure.
In addition to a Starbucks w/drive-thru, the building is expected to house a sandwich shop, ice cream shop, and general office space.
We had sharps disposal boxes installed in our office buildings last year. Employees with diabetes appreciated that.
We need to let Steven Colbert in on this new sharp’s disposal at Starbucks!
“Meanwhile….”
Just think… You can DRIVE a vehicle, TEXT, ORDER a B.S. Coffee drink and get back on the highway and DRIVE< TEXT>and DRINK your non-fat-soy-milk-laden-latte … Great.
And it’s “sharps,” no apostrophe.
And if you want to use an apostrophe on sharps it would be sharps’.
And there’s no apostrophe in “sharps disposal.”
And wonder why you can’t afford to live in Santa Barbara at the same time.
…and imagine you have a dog in your vehicle, sciatic nerve damage, you are with someone with Alzheimer’s, you are still in PJs, have curlers in your hair or no makeup on and just don’t want to be seen in public, in a wheelchair, don’t want to be around people, waiting for an important phone call, ….I dunno…maybe you just want to get ur GD coffee using the drive through….you know, reasons like that.
Gross! We had one and they weren’t successful. A Rudy’s in Goleta would be nice!
Flicka: Imagine that you are a parent who just picked up 2 kids from daycare and you want to quickly get an easy dinner on the way home from an 8+ hour work day. Viva la Drive Thru.
Curmudgeon, that crowd generally tends to reuse needles until they’re too worn to be much of a hazard. I suspect that the disposal boxes are for diabetic customers who accidentally forgot to specify artificial sweetener for their vente mocha cappuccino with extra syrup and who now need to top up the insulin.
Can a brother just get an Arby’s please?
