On June 26, 2019, shortly after midnight the Santa Maria Police Department began receiving 911 calls of gunshots heard in the alley of 900 block south Russell. Upon arrival officers located two gunshot victims in the vicinity along with a crime scene. Both victims were transported to area hospitals and there condition is unknown at this time.
SMPD Detectives were notified along with the Crime Lab to conduct the investigation. It was discovered that the victims were approached in the alley by unknown suspects just prior to the shooting.
SMPD Detective Woessner is requesting anyone with information on this crime call 805-928-3781 X1929. Callers can also call the tip line at 805-928-3781 X COPS (2677).
Actually the shooter was a cronic alcoholic and had made many rage filled threats in the past appearing hevily intoxicated.
That was an entirely different incident. That was the 5 dead over the golf course threats. It clearly was stated about prior drunken threats. Nothing to do with the alley shooting. This sight is getting pathetic. People posting bogus information is one thing but 2 up votes. Are people here that uninformed. Of course this is not an actual news source, but the votes should just be done away with as some might actually think 1:44 pm knows what they are talking about.
Meth dealer war going on in Santa Maria… The Meth is brought up from our open borders and distributed by Mexican gang members. Stop by Marian or Cottage Hospital to see what your tax dollars are going to.
Coastwatch where does it say this involved meth?
Pull your head out.
Haha, ok… so let me get this straight – every time there’s a shooting in Santa Maria, it involves meth dealers from “Mexican gang members?” No other possibility?
Gunshots in the alley in Santa Maria usually means gangsters are at it again. What a sickening lifestyle. Killing each other for nothing.
@A-156 Why do you think banger’s shoot at each other in Santa Maria…? It’s about drugs and drug territory(s) … You can’t be that out of touch. Santa Maria happens to have a HUGE Meth problem and it’s escalating to surrounding areas…
