Highway 101 Backed Up?

By an edhat reader

Does anyone know if there’s an accident (or poorly timed construction work) on 101 S now (around noon)? It’s usually not this backed up until much later on Fridays.

  2. I spilled the beans. Even though it’s a peaceful 35-40mph, Foothill only takes 5 min longer most days. I got tired of people tail gating at 75mph on 101. I get home much more relaxed.

  3. They tailgate on Foothill and every other street with a long stretch. Some look as if they are being towed by the vehicle in front. Seems to me a good set-up for traffic control to take pictures and send out warnings to the most aggressive ones as a wake-up call, tickets if they get cited again. Too bad they did away with driver’s training in the h.s. about 20 years ago. I think the general public under about age 45 don’t have a clue they ARE tail-gating and putting themselves and kids in danger.
