One of the most exciting Old Spanish Days Fiesta parties, Celebración de Los Dignatarios also known as DIGS, took place at the Santa Barbara Zoo Thursday evening.

The all-inclusive event provided tasty food samplings from a bevy of local vendors. Rincon Catering offered custom margaritas, al pastor tacos, and bananas foster churros with vanilla ice cream. Lilac Patisserie served up tasty gluten-free baked goods, Mesa Salsa had samples of their fresh and locally sourced salsa, Sol Smokehouse had smoked pork belly, and much more.

A full bar was serving up drinks, but tastings of wine, beer, and liquor were also available. A few of the vendors were Municipal Winery, Topa Topa Brewery, Figueroa Mountain, Rincon Brewery, and even Grocery Outlet had a booth offering tastes of wine for sale at their grocery store.

With views of the ocean atop the Zoo’s garden hill, locals imbibed and danced to music from all genres played by DJ Hecktik with a supporting band and Spencer Fischer as the hype man.
