Sheriff’s Office Seizes Illegal Marijuana Operation in Santa Maria

Over 2,800 cannabis plants were seized by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office near Santa Maria after a months-long investigation.

Deputies served search warrants at residences within the city limits and unincorporated areas of Santa Maria, Nipomo, and unincorporated Arroyo Grande.The warrants were connected to an investigation into an illegal unlicensed cannabis cultivation operation in the area of Morning Hill and Dominion Road in Santa Maria. 

The search warrants resulted in the seizure of hundreds of thousands of dollars of illegal cannabis, and cannabis-related products being offered for sale. Approximately 2,800 cannabis plants were eradicated from both indoor and outdoor cultivation sites, and hundreds of pounds of processed cannabis were seized.

An operational butane honey lab was also located and seized during the investigation.

No arrests were made and criminal complaints have been forwarded to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.
