A vehicle crashed into a Santa Ynez Home early Sunday morning, displacing residents.
At 12:40 a.m, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vehicle collision at 3305 Sagunto Road. They discovered a vehicle had gone off the roadway and became airborne for approximately 150 feet before colliding into a house.
An investigator on scene red-flagged the building and determined it was unstable and all residents were not allowed to go back in.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Marian Medical Center.
The cause is under investigation.
Wow, 150 feet airborne. Appears the driver didn’t negotiate the turn at the end of Calzada Ave. at all and nailed the house from the back. Wonder how fast they were going…
Yet another…
My Mom used to say that drunks in a car crash rarely suffer anything other than minor injuries due to their being inebriated and so relaxed. (Guess this doesn’t apply to the terrible head-on accident on 246.)
I had a friend in AA years ago did that never walked again.
