Firefighters Respond to Structure Fire Off Foothill Road

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a single-family residence off Foothill Road that caught fire Wednesday morning.

At 10:35 a.m., fire crews arrived on Center Ave and found a single-story, single-family residence with smoke coming from the attic and windows. Crews discovered a working structure fire in the kitchen and promptly knocked it down, said Captain Daniel Bertucelli.

There were no injuries and no one appeared to be home at the time of the fire. The cause is under investigation.
