Three people suffered injuries following a head-on collision on Highway 101 near Orcutt early Wednesday morning.
At 5:44 a.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene in the southbound lanes near Clark Road with a CalStar helicopter and ground ambulance.
Upon arrival, fire crews discovered a head-on traffic collision between two vehicles with one landing on its side. There were no subjects trapped or needing extrication.
Three people were injured, one with minor injuries and two with moderate injuries that were transported to Marian Medical Center via ground ambulance.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
Cal Trans really needs to figure some way to stop the wrong-ways, BEFORE they even get on…the wrong side. Maybe, some kind of alarm warning system, geared for cars / vehicles going the wrong way.
