Does anyone know how long Highway 154 will be closed to the public? Officials stated it’s closed “indefinitely” but what exactly does that mean, what’s the time frame?

Why rush opening the country’s most dangerous road?
I’ve always thought that adding a highway from Santa Clarita to Santa Maria would help. But that is just a pipe dream and I know it would never happen.
Imagine the traffic decrease on the 101 and 154 when the 5 closes.
I for one am glad it is closed this holiday weekend! I even gave thanks to mother nature for saving the lives of some people whose GPS forced them on a Highway they should never be on! All those Locals enjoying the drive suck it up because it will be rushed to open soon. Mahalo
When the Cave Fire is 100% contained and there is little likelihood of the public getting in the way or interfering with mop up operations is when you can expect the road to be opened.
When it’s safe for the public to drive on. However, considering 154 is the fiery monster route from hell, consuming and devouring a legion of victims through the decades one hopes it will never open.
