Ten People Died in CA Traffic Collisions on Christmas

California Highway Patrol report at least ten people died statewide on Christmas Day in traffic collisions.

CHP conducted a 30-hour Maximum Enforcement Period from 6:00 p.m. on December 24 to 11:59 p.m. on December 25 where additional officers were on the roadway.

Additionally, 271 people were arrested in California during this time period for driving under the influence (DUI).

A similar enforcement will take place between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, CHP reports.
