A Honda SUV was crushed Saturday when a large Eucalyptus tree split on Butterfly Lane in Montecito. The massive limb came down on the vehicle smashing the hood, windshield and the top. No one was hurt. The limb went over a railing and near the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Nearby, on March 25, 2018 another similar tree came completely down over Channel Drive towards the ocean.

Native Palms, Oaks, Sycamores and Cypress throw down sizable fronds and branches. Better rip those all out, too.
