Lompoc Police Investigate Two Shootings on Sunday

Summary :

On 02-29-2020, at approximately 2154 hours, Lompoc PD Dispatch received calls of a shooting near 618 N H St (Hwy 1 Liquor). LPD Officers were several blocks away, and could also hear the shots. Officers converged to the area but did not locate any suspects or victims. Approximately 5 minutes later, an adult male victim of a single gun shot wound showed up at Lompoc Hospital. The victim is considered stable at this time. LPD Officers and Detectives are investigating this as possibly being a gang related shooting. 

This was the second shooting Lompoc P.D. investigated on 02-29-2020. At approximately 1143 hours, earlier in the day, a victim had his vehicle damaged, when unknown suspects shot at it. This occurred near the intersection of E Chestnut Ave and N D St. There were no injuries reported and there are no suspects at this time. That crime is being investigated as a 246pc- Malicious and willful discharge of a firearm at an occupied motor vehicle.
