Mountain Lion Captured in Orcutt Backyard

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office reports the mountain was safely captured from a resident’s backyard in Orcutt with help from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies ask residents to shelter inside as they attempt to contain a mountain lion in Orcutt.

At 5:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to residents in the 4300 block of Coachman Way to stay inside their homes.

Deputies are joining the Department of Fish and Wildlife to safely capture a mountain lion in the area.
