The Santa Barbara Police Department responded to a call for service at 9:11 A.M. in the City — reporting a person down.
Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
A victim was found deceased at the location.
Police have a suspect into custody.
The investigation remains on-going. The Police Department will provide additional information as the investigation permits.

Santa Barbara Police are on the scene in the 1500 Block of Kowalski Street on the Westside. Initial reports state a crime related to domestic violence.
I see everything needs to be picked apart on Edhat like CSI…More than likely the comment came from a neighbor there were alot of neighbors out. Some were witnesses as there was alot of yelling and screaming going on as it had been reported as a 415pc Domestic…
How is it at all “immaterial” for the public to know about the circumstances of a murder that happened in their own neighborhood? The family can still be afforded privacy without keeping their neighbors in the dark. Privacy for victims and public knowledge are not mutually exclusive.

This is absolutely horrific. The daughter killed her mother. So very sad.
How do you know this?
Are we going to argue about this too? A person has lost their life say a prayer move on to another topic are we really this bored?

Actually, it is important to verify how the person knows. False information and speculation fly around the internet far too freely. With that being said, I agree that this was a horrible tragedy and my heart and prayers go out to everyone affected.
Gifted – Actually, it’s not, not at this time. One comment on a thread is not “the internet,” it’s one comment that should not have been made. It’s entirely immaterial to EVERYONE other than the family at this point, who are hopefully not reading this. You don’t need to know anything now. Whether the person knows or is speculating makes no difference at this time. Give it a rest.
The name of the arrested individual should be public record by now.
