While the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our lives in a major way, edhat readers are still heading outdoors (safely) to capture stunning images of our local area.
Above are photos by Thomas Joyce that he titles “Full flower moonrise over Santa Barbara” captured from W. Camino Cielo. Below are photos submitted by other readers in the past few weeks.
Get outside, while social distancing, and enjoy the beauty our county has to offer. Send us your photos at ed@edhat.com to share with the community!

It was all quiet on the Western Front at Butterfly Beach (on May 1), people were out, but not en mass, they were enjoying their dogs, some little guys, some quiet solitude and of course the dogs were having fun. Foxy Buddy found himself a delicious crab leg fresh from the sea. People were waving and saying hi, but not too close. What a beautiful town we live in, so lucky, and no sign of Nubby the baby shark.
Social distancing from your beach hut.
Riding out the virus, people were out enjoying the perfect weather while still being cognizant of the social distancing, people in the water, on the beach at shoreline, and on the back of bicycles this dog is having a ride on a scooter!
