Santa Barbara County firefighters rescued a horse that had fallen into a water trough on Sunday morning.
At 6:50 a.m., firefighters responded to a property on Vieja Drive in the unincorporated area of Goleta. Crews discovered a full-grown horse had fallen into a water trough and was unable to get out with help from the Animal Control Equine Team.
Crews were able to move the trough and get the horse out and a veterinarian arrived on scene to evaluate the horse.
The condition of the horse is unknown at this time.
Get Well soon Mr. Horsey…
Poor thing. I am sure it was distraught.
Poor baby 🙁
Wonder how long he was on his own like that before anyone noticed. Overnight? Poor guy. Hope he recovers well with no harm done.
