Small Brush Fire Contained Near Santa Maria

Santa Barbara County Firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a brush fire near Santa Maria on Tuesday evening.

Crews responded with Santa Maria Fire Department to the area of South Bradley and Via Mavis, also known as the Bradley Dip, after 5:00 p.m. They discovered approximately one acre of fire burning and quickly stopped the forward progress.

Firefighters will remain on scene mopping up. There were no structures damaged and no injuries. The fire is under investigation.
