Brush Fire Knocked Down Near Los Olivos

A small brush fire broke out near Los Olivos on Thursday afternoon.

At 12:47 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the 2700 block of Ballard Canyon Road and discovered approximately three acres of light brush on fire. Crews made a running attack with coordination from Fire Copter 308 to hold the fire from expanding.

Forward progress has been stopped and crews will remain on scene to mop up. An investigator is also on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
