Santa Barbara County Firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a 6.5-acre brush fire below the SkyView Motel in Los Alamos.
The fire moved uphill and the motel was evacuated. Firefighters performed structure protection and were aided by a dozer and helicopter.

Santa Barbara County firefighters are responding to a brush fire near Los Alamos.
The fire started around 3:00pm Saturday with evacuations in place for the SkyView Motel.
