Santa Barbara Police are investigating a homicide that took place on Santa Barbara’s eastside Thursday evening.
Police responded to the area of Cacique and Volunatario Streets around 9:15 p.m. where they found an unresponsive stabbing victim, a Hispanic adult male.
The victim was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A suspect has yet to be identified and police are investigating the homicide.
This is a developing story.
Stabbing in an unknown location on the eastside. I heard Voluntario, Cacique Streets mentioned. Police are at the crime scene with a lot of blood and are following a blood trail North on Voluntario Street. In the 100 block of South Voluntario Street a victim was found unresponsive, Voluntario near Carpinteria Streets.
I honestly don’t think the average person realizes how lethal knives truly are… If a person is 15 ft away with a knife intending to do harm, it’s as dangerous as a gun.
I totally agree that the Eastside lost a great rep for the district because we now have the MOST mentally deficient person as our eastside rep! She is such an opprobrium for the district she represents and should consider stepping down!
Shame on the residents who voted for her!
Exactly, where the hell is Councilmember Alejandra Guiterrez???? I am sure she is hiding because she looks like a complete nitwit and bonehead for always promoting “Her People.” They sure as hell continue to make her look VERY BAD and she is so stupid for continuing to ALWAYS defend them!!!
Some are too shameful to show.
Is that why knives are used for mass killings more than guns? Not?
COASTWATCH – Nope, absolutely wrong. A gun shoots a projectile, which is capable of missing it’s intended target and killing (sometimes multiple) bystanders. Someone coming at a person with a knife (unless they’re throwing knives and have a range of over 500 yards) is likely only going to get their intended target. Further, you’re more likely to survive a knife wound than a gun wound, especially at 15 feet. Please stop spreading nonsense.
