On 12/22/20, the Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau and Special Enforcement Team made an arrest in the murder of 20-year-old Kevin Nunez-Escamilla.
Detectives tracked the suspect to the California Town of Lindsey in Tulare County. With the assistance of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Detectives arrested 20-year-old Santa Maria resident JESUS JUAREZ GRACILAZO for the murder.
GRACILAZO was transported back to Santa Maria by Detectives and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for murder. He is currently being held on a $2 million bail.
