| On Thursday 2/04/2021 at approximately 10:45 a.m., Lompoc Police Department received multiple reports of a shooting near East Airport Avenue and North D Street. Officers located evidence of a shooting on the ground nearby. An 18-year-old male was found two blocks away with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg and was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment. An unknown male person of interest was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting.
It is unknown at this time if the shooting was gang related. This is the 9th shooting of 2021. Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, has surveillance video, or information about the shooting is asked to contact the Lompoc Police Department. |
