Highway 154 Closed at Cold Spring Bridge Due to Collision

Highway 154 is closed in both directions at the Cold Spring Bridge due to a multi-vehicle collision.

At 8:14 a.m. Thursday, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the 6000 block of Highway 154.

Crews on the scene determined construction on the bridge caused traffic buildup when a vehicle heading eastbound rear-ended another vehicle which then collided with two other vehicles for a total of four vehicles involved.

One person sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a ground ambulance while three people suffered minor injuries. There were no extrications required.

The cause is under investigation and the roadway is currently closed.
