Officers Respond with Medics – Subject Unconscious in Driver Seat:
April 23, 2021 around 2:40pm – 200 E. Haley Street, Santa Barbara, California
- Possible reported medical emergency
- Occupant found slumped over the steering wheel
- Occupant was asleep inside the vehicle – no medical emergency occurred
- Occupant had drug paraphernalia in their possession
- Occupant was identified as, Harrison Schell (24 years old) – Santa Barbara resident
- Schell had several outstanding felony warrants for his arrest
- Schell was arrested and booked in Santa Barbara County Jail for 11364 H&S – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the above-mentioned warrants – Bail $75,000
Injury Traffic Collision:
April 24, 2021 around 12:20pm – 800 Shorline Drive, Santa Barbara, California
- Driver of a vehicle was rear-ended while waiting for pedestrian to cross in crosswalk
- One passenger transported to Hospital for injury
- Driver who rear-ended stopped vehicle found at fault in collision.
- Primary cause of collision – Unsafe Speed
Trespasser Arrested:
April 24, 2021 around 9:00pm – 700 East Haley Street, Santa Barbra, California
- Trespasser was discovered in a citizen’s back yard
- Trespasser refused to leave after being asked multiple times by the homeowner
- Trespasser was a prior renter/resident
- Trespasser made verbal threats to the homeowner
- Identified as, Michael Dupree Jr. (31 years old) – Santa Barbara resident
- Dupree was arrested for 602 PC – Trespassing (misdemeanor)
- Booked at Santa Barbara County Jail – Bail $0
Prowler Arrested:
April 25, 2021 around 1:25am – 900 East Montecito Street, Santa Barbara, California
- Citizen contacted police about an unknown subject in their backyard
- Officers responded and located an intoxicated subject in the backyard of a home
- Officers determined the subject was intoxicated and could not care for their safety
- Identified as, Alejandro Garcia-Meza (31 years old) – Santa Barbara resident
- Garcia-Meza was booked in Santa Barbara County Jail – $1,000
Intoxicated Driver Arrested after Collision:
April 25, 2021 around 12:25pm – 900 San Pascual Street, Santa Barbara, California
- Officers responded to a vehicle that had driven off the roadway
- Officers determined the driver had lost control of the vehicle
- Driver stuck several trees and a retaining wall adjacent to a home
- Driver was determined to be under the influence and unlicensed
- Driver was identified as a juvenile and the name is being withheld
- Driver was issued a citation for 23152(a) & (b) VC – DUI (misdemeanor) and 12500(a) VC – Driving Without a License (infraction)
Subject Arrested on Roof of Local Business:
April 26, 2021 around 1:00am – 400 State Street, Santa Barbara, California
- Local business owner contact police about a subject trespassing on the roof
- Officers arrived and located the trespasser on the roof
- Business owner requested to press charges for trespassing
- Subject was removed from the roof and placed under arrest for 602 PC – Trespassing (misdemeanor)
- Identified as, Asha Earl Johannaber (40 years old) – Transient
- Johannaber was transported to Santa Barbara County Jail – Bail $2,500
- While at Jail, Johannaber bit and kicked Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputy
- Johannaber was also charged with 243(b) PC – Battery on an Officer (misdemeanor)
Burglary Suspect Flees from Officers:
April 26, 2021 around 0400am – 00 Parker Way, Santa Barbara, California
- Citizen reported a suspicious subject attempting to enter a closed business
- Officers responded and located the subjects
- One subject fled on foot away from the Officers
- Officers successfully detained the suspect that fled on foot
- Fleeing suspect identified as, Phillip Hernandez Jr. (27 years old) – Transient
- Investigation revealed Hernandez was using a burglary tool to gain access to a business
- Officers arrived on scene prior to the burglary from occurring.
- Hernandez was arrested for; 664/459PC – Attempted Burglary (felony), 148(a)(1) PC – Obstruct a Police Officer (misdemeanor) and several narcotic charges
- Hernandez was booked in Santa Barbara County Jail – Bail $20,000

All you have to do is look at national news they blast names of everyone especially police officers. oh but not the one who shot a unarmed woman at the capital. Looking at my ring doorbell let’s me know how many creeps crawl around our yards at night I want to see faces so I can be more vigilant and safe.
