The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office issued a shelter in place order in Orcutt Sunday evening for a suspicious package investigation.
Foster Road was closed from Orcutt Road to Hummel Drive starting around 8:45 p.m.
A shelter in place was requested for residents south of road closures ending at Union Valley Parkway.
The Sheriff’s Office lifted the shelter-in-place order at 10:15 p.m. and declared the area safe.
It’s unclear what was discovered in the package, no further information is available.
