This is how many fires now? 43 since January?
And let me guess, catch & release?
Same with the Loma Fire suspect?
Our community has decided the best thing to do is ignore people like this as much as possible. No help will be provided.
I like how the cons are suddenly Smokey the Bears about fires but when you bring up climate change and it’s direct connection to wildfires they just laugh and say dead brush needs to be “cleaned up.” Too bad their fearless leader isn’t around anymore to rake leaves or get tens of thousands in a public works program with chainsaws. Or whatever other clinically insane and/or ideologically contradictory idea they have about forest management.
You seem to be clumsily stereotyping the mentally ill as uncontributing and useless. Mental illness and brain trauma can affect anyone, yes even taxpayers and the wealthy who seem to have more worth to you. There is an older gentleman downtown who I know for a fact was a TV network executive in LA during the 80’s. He got a serious brain injury and could no longer care for himself and spends most days wandering around or talking to himself. He likely paid the highest taxes possible. Where is his care? We spend tens of thousands for a toilet on a nuclear submarine but throw mentally ill people out on the street, regardless of their “worth to society.” That’s the definition of a shithole country.
Where is the HELP for people who have worked hard, paid their taxes, and despite all difficulties, have become constructive members of the community ? WHERE IS THE HELP FOR THEM ???
CHILLIN: You seem to be clumsily stereotyping Edhat commenters.
Chillin
We don’t “throw people on the street”. If people don’t want services offered we can’t make them accept the services offered. So we have a “shithole Country” now, do we? I find that remark highly offensive.
Lol you’re offended? Oh no I’m so sorry, it must be hard having words on the Internet hurt your feelings.
