Injured Hiker on W. Camino Cielo

A hiker was airlifted to the hospital after falling while hiking off W. Camino Cielo Saturday.

At 1:23 p.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters received a report of a female hiker in their 30s becoming injured during a fall while hiking. Firefighters and paramedics arrived on W. Camino Cielo and were able to stabilize the moderate lower leg injury, according to public information officer Mike Eliason.

The hiker was then hoisted aboard a Santa Barbara County Air Support helicopter with paramedics and was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
