A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Channel Islands early Tuesday afternoon.
At 12:50 p.m., the quake took place 21km southeast of Santa Cruz Island’s east end with a depth of 7.6km. The closest land area is Point Mugu State Park.
Several edhat readers in the Ventura/Oxnard area reported feeling a subtle shake around this time.
Currently, no aftershocks have been reported.
