Ready for an extra hour of sleep? The biannual time change is just around the corner, as daylight saving is coming to an end for 2021.
With daylight standard time resuming as it does the first Sunday of November, most of the U.S, including the City of Santa Barbara, will turn their clocks back an hour beginning 2 a.m. on Nov. 7. The fall back comes in the middle of the night, but most people usually set their clocks back before heading to bed that Saturday night.
It’s also a good time to replace batteries in warning devices such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If your device has sealed-in batteries, remove any debris and check to confirm they are functioning properly.
Daylight saving time will return at 2 a.m. on March 13, 2022.
How depressing.
