I found this at Surf Beach in Lompoc, CA and am so curious if anyone there or any readers know what type of creature it is. It has sting ray like skin and coloring, a long tail, and a beak type of mouth that is located underneath the body. I tried to show all features in the photos.
As a Santa Barbara local and ocean/beach lover, I’m surprised I’ve never seen one and couldn’t identify. Thanks!
