Nothing to see here-Just another vagrant crime.
Vagrancy crime is way up in the last few days, after the hotel closure.
Those in support of support of that program will say this surge is proof of why we need a “housing first” approach. Those against (including me) will point out that we spent literal millions of dollars over six month to temporarily “help” ~50 people.
It’s about balance and pragmatism. Allegedly a handful have transitioned to “longer term” solutions… no follow up studies will be available… lol.
We saw this start up down by the volleyball courts. One young guy after another young guy going across the sand. Two rather young punky looking guys prob in their 20’s…who no doubt prefer not to work despite the abundance of work out there everywhere.
Younger and younger “homeless” who turn out to be vagrants, bums, thieves. Has SB become a winter tourist attraction for them?
“Longer Term Solutions” are incarceration for crimes. Consequences.
COAST and everyone else – where does it say this was a vagrant or homeless person? People other than homeless fight at the beach over stolen items.
