Recently added City of Santa Barbara public meetings:
California requires that public meetings be noticed, publicly posted, at least 72 hours, 3 days, before the meeting. Two city-wide-important meetings have been posted since Monday.
1. The De La Guerra Plaza Revitalization Advisory Committee posted on Tuesday, 2/8, that their next meeting will be on Friday, February 11, by Zoom at 8:30-10 AM. This is not listed on the City’s advisory commission calendar.
To discuss the Historic Landmarks Commission analysis of the Revitalization Advisory Committee’s concept plan and to discuss optional design concepts.
That meeting was on January 19 and the video begins at approximately 3:30 of the 6+-hour meeting. https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/gov/brdcomm/dm/historic/videos.asp Draft minutes: https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/SBdocuments/Advisory_Groups/Historic_Landmarks_Commission/Current/07_Minutes/2022-01-19_January_19_2022_Draft_Minutes.pdf; there were 15 Public Comment letters: https://tinyurl.com/382jua8v .

Week of – February 7-10: SB city council and advisory committee meetings: a quiet week ahead for Council and advisory commission members.
Santa Barbara city advisory commissions, https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/gov/default.asp. All now are by webinar or Zoom. A long-time Edhat subscriber thought it would be helpful and interesting for the community to have accessible a weekly listing of selected meetings. We agreed. Please tell us what you think, good idea? waste of time? want it to continue, but covering more than Santa Barbara city? Would Edhat readers like to have some terms explained, for example: what is a Consent Calendar, a preApplication Review, or?
Santa Barbara City has a calendar of meetings; here’s February’s calendar: https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/cals/ . In addition, City TV covers many of the meetings and has reruns; here’s the programming page: https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/gov/depts/cityadmin/programming.asp
