Green Before the Storm

By John Wiley

Flying home recently the lingering Green goddess of our magnificent mountains was made even more brilliant by a special shade of blue in the Channel.

With the pandemic easing, Gaviota was well attended by campers and climbers. Like the Refugio campground, El Capitan too was an especially lovely sight and similarly populated.

Have you ever seen them from the air, perhaps during the brief glimpse from an airliner as it climbed West after takeoff?
