A Facebook friend of mine that I haven’t heard from in a while sent me an odd message. I quickly realized it was some kind of scammer that hacked her account. I reached out to my friend who confirmed it wasn’t them so I decided to have a little fun and try to scam the scammer.
I figured the more time they were interacting with me, the less time they’d have to scam someone else. As a reminder, the “Community Block Grant” scam is pretty pervasive. I did end up reporting the accounts after our exchange. Below are screenshots of my interaction, all names have been blocked out. Enjoy, I sure did!
