September 3 is “National Cinema Day” and the Cinema Foundation announced the one day event will include more than 3,000 participating locations and over 30,000 screens. It celebrates a summer of record-breaking moviegoing with movies and a special sneak peek of upcoming titles from A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal, and Warner Bros.
The day is meant to celebrate this “summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas,” Cinema Foundation president Jackie Brenneman said in a statement. “We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”

Yeah, but are the snacks at the concession stand are at a very low price as well? I do believe that a small soft drink is $6.00. I have no idea how much a medium or large would cost at the Metropolitan Theaters would cost. And how much is the popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, candy ice cream and bottled water? Me I would like maybe 3 hotdogs, medium popcorn, some candy, maybe some ice cream and a large soft drink. What would that cost today at a Metropolitan Theater, about $60.00, 70.00 or 80.00?
