Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is set to become one of the streaming’s biggest players as it dominates watch charts this week.
Prime Video’s latest hit takes place in the Lord of the Rings (LOTR) world, based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s fantasy novels, but set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before Tolkien’s The Hobbit and LOTR movies. With such a massive fan base, there’s no surprise that it’s hit number one in the top ten titles for streaming this week.
Reelgood reports Elvis, the movie based on legendary Elvis Presley’s live, is at number two. It first released on June 24 in theatres and for rent through streaming services but it’s now available on HBO Max with subscriptions.
Some of the new titles that made the top ten are Devil in Ohio, a Netflix suspense thriller series created by Daria Polatin based on Polatin’s book of the same name; I Came By is a suspense Netflix movie followinf a young graffiti artist who discovers a shocking secret that would put him and the ones closest to him in danger; and season six of Rick and Morty, the cult favorite cartoon.
