We were hoping to take the kiddos up there later today to make a few snowballs or possibly a smallish snowman. Just put all-season tires on my car so I’m assuming that will be good enough as I doubt snow chains would be required. Haven’t been up Gibraltar Road in a while, but I think it will be safer to go up the 154 and through Painted Cave. May even bring an ice chest with me to bring back some of that there snow!!!
Yup, Los Padres is still under the 60 day closure from the last storm. Please don’t try to go have fun!
It is a sight to behold. Weather service says we might see the largest snowfall in decades, rivaling a 1989 storm! Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Chip – you can be a docent at one of the local museums if you have nothing to do during the day.
Is there a cherry-picking or misinformation museum in town? Fertilizer components? Xenophobia?
