Timelapse of melting snow from La Cumbre Peak on Saturday morning.

An inch of snow fell in about 10 minutes on the south side of Campanil Hill. I’ve lived here for 30 years, and this is the craziest weather I have ever seen. There is still a thick layer of slush a half an hour later.

Snow Waterfall!

We were one of the 1,000+ cars on East Camino Cielo today. Glorious snow, kids having the best day of their lives, people driving the wrong type of vehicle for the conditions, everyone just enjoying the snowfall. In another 5-10 years it will happen again.
We actually went to see Cachuma. All you could see was the far right gate open on the dam. The Santa Ynez river was flowing good as we made our way to Solvang.
It was a wonderful day to be in nature and seeing people enjoying it!
Wow. 1000 scofflaws, probably of the law and order ilk when it doesn’t pertain to their behavior.
What kind of person are you to be in favor of teaching young scofflaws by example?
No-Just the “ILK” that likes to have fun in the snow that maybe have never had the experience.
I would pick you up at your house to go play in it but, you would think it is against the law.
Doesn’t happen all the time so give people some rope.
Give us your address so we know where to come and have a snowball fight.
See? People are incredibly entitled and stupid.
Why are so many people angry about what Shasta said? It’s awesome to see the snow and the smiles of kids and adults who don’t get the opportunity to play in snow as often as others do.
Yeah, we’re all entitled to be scofflaws! It’s in the Constitution!
What kind of bitter person are you to be angered by little kids playing in the snow perhaps for the first time in their lives?
