Alma Rosa, a leading producer of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from the Sta. Rita hills AVA, is pleased to open its Santa Barbara County tasting room to the public for tastings at its new outdoor “Weingarten.” Beginning this week, the winery has reconfigured its tasting room patio, creating an optimized setting for guests to safely sample wines in an open setting with social distancing measures in place.

Visitors to Alma Rosa will be seated at private tables accommodating up to six guests, spaced six feet apart from other parties, in a tranquil setting shaded under umbrellas and arbors. For $20, guests can enjoy a selection of five wines from

Alma Rosa’s portfolio of Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Rhone varietals and rose wines. Guests may also purchase bottles or wines by the glass to enjoy in the Weingarten. For an elevated experience, visitors may also book a private Ranch House tasting at the nearby Alma Rosa estate in the Sta. Rita Hills.

Located on Industrial Way in Buellton, just minutes off Highway 101, the tasting room is surrounded by several other tasting rooms, distilleries, a brewery, and excellent restaurants, making it an enticing gourmet destination for visitors looking to experience Santa Barbara County wine country.

“As we take precautions to collectively ensure each other’s safety, we wanted to offer people an opportunity to get outdoors in wine country and enjoy one of the best experiences California has to offer,” says General Manager Debra Eagle. “We’ve worked closely with local authorities to offer an experience which considers everyone’s safety, while still maintaining our region’s signature charm and hospitality. We invite everyone to come to Alma Rosa to experience what makes summers in the Sta. Rita Hills so special.”

Winery hours are Sunday through Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday:  11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. For more information, or to make a reservation, visit www.almarosawinery.com or call 805-691-9395.
