The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the highest recognition available from two of the largest and most reputable nonprofit information sources in the country.
CADA received a Platinum 2020 Seal of Transparency – the highest designation – from GuideStar®, the largest source of nonprofit data in the country. Platinum status is awarded based on transparency of mission statement, leadership, capabilities and programs, financial soundness, goals, impacts, and effectiveness. GuideStar® is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1994 that released the first searchable electronic database of nonprofits in 1996. CADA also earned 100 out of 100 possible points from Charity Navigator’s new Encompass Rating System™ which evaluates a nonprofit’s financial and accountability practices. Organizations earning 75 points or more are designated as “Give with Confidence” nonprofits. Charity Navigator is the largest independent evaluator and rater of nonprofits in the country.
