People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) has announced their 2021 Employee of the Year and President’s Award winners. As an organization with over 200 employees, these awards recognize exceptional dedication to the mission of PSHH and this year have been presented to Cindy Calderon and Dalia Flores respectively.
The Employee of the Year is peer-selected, in recognition of a coworker whose yearlong efforts exemplify the PSHH mission. Cindy Calderon, Senior Property Manager at Jardin de las Rosas in Santa Barbara, was praised for her patience and consistent willingness to help others. Joining the organization over seven years ago, Cindy is a top-performer and approaches her work and service to residents with a warm and positive attitude.
“Cindy has done an incredible job working for our Property Management team,” said Shelly Higginbotham, PSHH Board Chair, “She is always searching for innovative solutions and truly embraces our mission with all that she does.”
The President’s Award winner is selected by the top executive to honor an employee who may not be highly visible, but continually makes a dramatic difference in support of the organization’s mission. This year Dalia Flores, Project Manager in the Multifamily Housing Development team has been honored for her diligent day-to-day efforts, and her extended support of company-wide equity initiatives and major departmental transitions.
“Dalia’s humor, confidence, collaborative spirit, and drive, makes her an invaluable member of not only her department, but the entire organization,” said Ken Trigueiro CEO & President, “Numerous times I have received feedback from our partners commending her professionalism and noteworthy efforts.”
