Law firm Keller Rohrback L.L.P., a national firm with a branch office in Santa Barbara, was recently recognized by industry titan, Law360, as one of its Product Liability Practice Groups of the Year for 2021. The firm and it’s Santa Barbara attorneys were specifically recognized for their work in the massively important national litigation over the opioid crisis which led to a $26 billion settlement with major opioid distributors and Johnson & Johnson on behalf of affected states and municipalities, as well as for its leadership role in the on-going Juul multidistrict litigation relating to the epidemic of youth vaping. Santa Barbara County is one of the firm’s clients in the opioid litigation. Among other cases, the firm is also involved in nationwide litigation related to drug pricing, such as the pricing of EpiPens and MS therapies, as well as environmental litigation including the 2015 Santa Barbara oil spill.
Law360 is a nationally recognized leader in the field of legal news and information. The Practice Group of the Year honors are awarded to firms and attorney teams identified as being “behind litigation wins and major deals that resonate[] throughout the legal industry . . . In addition to being recognized as in the Product Liability category, Keller Rohrback also received the Practice Group of the Year award in the Benefits category.
