Singer Katy Perry has officially gained ownership of her Montecito home following a years-long legal dispute, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Under the LLC DDoveB, Perry now possesses the East Valley Road property. The transfer of title, undertaken by Perry on Friday, May 17, is in tribute to her 3-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The 1930s mansion, which Perry purchased from entrepreneur Carl Westcott, the founder of 1-800-Flowers, for $15 million in July 2020, was intended to serve as the family home for Perry and Bloom.

The 9,285-square-foot property spans approximately 2.5 acres and includes eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, an infinity pool, jacuzzi, outdoor fireplace, kitchen area, and a three-bedroom guesthouse offering ocean views.
Zillow states the property was sold in 2020 at $11.25 million and now estimates the property is worth over $17 million.
The legal battle transpired when Westcott, who was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease, sought to rescind the deal, alleging mental incapacity due to the effects of prescription painkillers following spinal surgery.
Despite the legal dispute, a court decision in 2023 ruled in favor of Perry, stating that there was insufficient evidence to support Westcott’s claim of lacking capacity to enter into a real estate contract.
While the recent transfer of ownership signifies a resolution in the ownership dispute, a trial concerning potential damages or alternative remedies is scheduled to take place in July.
