Did you know that there are hundreds of animals in foster care for Santa Barbara County Animal Services, waiting for their furever homes? Here’s a chance to meet some of them during our first ever Foster Fest!
A select range of big and small dogs will be on hand in the back section of the parking area at 5473 Overpass Rd. in Goleta from 11am -3pm on Saturday May 11. This is your chance to meet dogs who need homes, and whose behavior in a home we know because they’ve been living with a foster family!
Better yet, all adoption fees are sponsored through May 15 by the Bissell Pet Foundation! That means, if you choose to adopt, taking home a wonderful companion animal that has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, at no cost!
Foster homes are a lifeline for shelters dealing with far more animals than there is space to care for them. And it’s a much better way for a dog to spend its days while waiting for a permanent home. If you can’t adopt, or don’t find the right dog, consider fostering as a way to help out!
