Santa Barbara’s newest Daytime Navigation Center for people experiencing homelessness is opening in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. The Daytime Navigation Center is a one-stop shop for people experiencing homelessness to receive services like behavioral healthcare, medical healthcare, workforce development, and housing navigation. This event is a Community Open House for all to experience the Center, learn how it will improve Santa Barbara, experience an interactive tour, and support its cause. There will be a formal program that begins at 7:00 pm, during which the Santa Barbara Alliance for Community Transformation (SB ACT), the coordinators of the Center, will provide background on the Center’s rise to fruition. The City of Santa Barbara will speak on their commitment to reducing homelessness, and people who have lived experience with homelessness will express what the Center means to them. Tickets are $25. Please park in the parking garages at 716 Chapala & 1025 Chapala. The Center is on Chapala St, not on Bradbury St. SB ACT invites you to wear black and white to the occasion (i.e., business casual) to create a sense of collective community during the fundraiser. SB ACT looks forward to seeing you there!
