Cellular Phone Outage in Cuyama, 9-1-1 Service Unavailable

County of Santa Barbara Fire Department (Edhat)

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is advising the public of a cellular phone outage in the Cuyama Valley on Friday.

The outage is impacting the ability for residents to call 9-1-1.

The Fire Department advises using a landline or enabling wifi on a cell phone if possible to call 9-1-1 if there is an emergency.

Cell providers are working to restore service, which is expected around 8:00 p.m. Friday, said Captain Scott Safechuck.
