WHO: Santa Barbara Education Foundation (SBEF) will honor individuals and programs making strides to help Santa Barbara’s students reach their full potential. Former Santa Barbara City College Foundation CEO Geoff Green will be honored for his leadership in spearheading initiatives benefiting students like the SBCC Promise, which provides free college for local high school graduates. 99.9 KTYD will be honored for their advocacy and dedication to school music education with their partnership with the SBEF’s Keep The Beat program.
WHAT: The Hope Awards, hosted by the Santa Barbara Education Foundation, honors local heroes of public education. It features a reception with fine food and beverages from local caterers, restaurants, wineries, and breweries, with the Hope Awards program immediately following. The event will highlight the impact of teachers in our community, with proceeds from the evening supporting SBEF’s Teacher Grants program.
