On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 3 pm, the Santa Ynez Valley Concert series will present its second annual Young Artist Showcase at St Mark’s in the Valley Church. This free concert will feature talented elementary to high school students from Santa Barbara County recommended by their respective teachers for this special honor. This year features solo performances from young guitarists and pianists.
Artistic Director, Robert Cassidy, said, “Music Education is at the forefront of the mission of the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series. I am thrilled that we have so many participants this year. Music is alive and living in Santa Barbara County!”
St. Mark’s is located at 2901 Nojoqui Avenue, a block from the flagpole in the center of Los Olivos. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. No tickets are required.
Here is the list of the honored students’ teachers: Vahid and Kathryn Imani from Song in My Heart Studios in Solvang; Deborah Mele from Santa Barbara; Alan Boehmer from Los Osos; Dr. Pascal Solomon from Santa Barbara; Lynne Garrett from Santa Maria; and Dr. Natalia Kislenko from Santa Barbara.
St. Mark’s in-the-Valley provides an intimate concert experience with seating for just over 100.
St. Mark’s is pleased to offer the SYV Concert Series as a community arts enrichment program. All are invited to come and enjoy these non-sectarian, non-religious concerts. Students are always FREE.
