Once again, thank goodness for our emergency responders!
Tagdes (no caps ;)) – Where is this? I checked Las Olas looks to be on the Mesa? Just curious, really!
Call out was between Las Olas and Roble Dr. Copter got to him at Marina Dr. and Sea Ledge Lane on the beach.
Thanks, Tag. Found it!
Any update?
Haven’t heard any more. My neighbor around the corner in San Roque is Battalion 12, but he’s still on duty.
Maybe it was this wave?

Oh cool, Bicylist. Thanks!
Water rescue craft and engines from County.
Copter 308 now on the scene.
Saying he’s now on the beach.
Scanner battery died, but ADS-B showed copter circle and then go to west beach, so evidently took the guy there. Last I heard is ” they’ve got plenty of beach for him” so no problem.
Kite surfer flail?
Hey everybody! Let’s speculate!
It is pretty weird that they took the guy to a beach. Beach to beach service to get back to his car? It’s certainly an uncommon drop-off point for a rescue!
Then I’ll let “you” add to the speculation. SO said “they have plenty of beach for him”, scanner died, circling copter traversed east along the beach to Leadbetter and looped back with no hesitation and headed off along the beach to Gaviota and then back to Santa Ynez.
Thanks for the report!
